ECOLOGICAL PROJECT EP-EC20 IN ECUADOR

Volunteer Project in Ecuador

EP-EC20

Description:

In Ecuador, many animals are still treated, trafficked and killed in horrible ways. This project, based in Puyo, is dedicated to offer a safe home and rehabilitation to those primates that have been rescued from animal dealers or families who kept them in captivity or abused them. The centre collaborates with a venitary docter to help the primates that are in poor health. The main goal of the foundation is to enable primates to return to the wild. In order to enable them to do so, the foundation owns two hectares of tropical rain forest, were animals are set out. As some animals will never be able to return to the wild due to health problems, the foundations also offers permanent residence. At this moment, the centre is home to 50 animals.
